DAY 1 – Chengdu → Wolong Panda Base → Mount Siguniang
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your Chengdu hotel and begin the journey toward western Sichuan.
First stop is the famous Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base, part of the Giant Panda Nature Reserve. In the morning, pandas are most active, and you may see cute giant pandas eating bamboo, climbing trees, and playing happily in their natural environment.
Continue to the legendary Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built over 2,300 years ago. This ancient engineering masterpiece still controls the Min River and made the Chengdu Plain one of China’s most fertile regions.
After visiting the site, drive through beautiful mountain scenery to Mount Siguniang Scenic Area (about 3–4 hours). Arrive in Rilong Town and stay overnight near the entrance of the national park.
DAY 2 – Changping Valley Hiking Adventure

Take the scenic shuttle bus deep into the valley, where breathtaking landscapes unfold—glaciers, alpine lakes, grazing yaks, snow-capped mountains, and vast alpine meadows. Short walks between scenic spots allow you to fully enjoy the spectacular views.
On the way back to Chengdu (about 4–5 hours), stop at Maobiliang Ridge, one of the best viewpoints to admire the four peaks of Mount Siguniang. If the weather is clear, you may even witness the famous “Golden Mountains” sunset illuminating the snow peaks.
