Beyond the Usual Xiamen Tour: What Makes This Journey Special

This tour is designed for travelers who want a relaxed but meaningful Fujian experience — not just famous landmarks, but real local stories, quieter corners, and a deeper connection with Xiamen, Gulangyu Island, and Fujian Tulou.

Step Inside Mulan-Inspired Tulou Scenery

Visit an authentic Hakka earthen building that feels like the real-life setting of Mulan’s hometown. When available, local Hakka families may invite you into their living space, share local tea, and show you the upstairs floor — a rare experience in many tulou clusters.

Explore Tianluokeng Tulou Beyond the Viewpoint

See the famous Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster from above, then walk closer to understand how these round and square earthen buildings worked as homes, fortresses, and shared communities for Hakka people.

Discover the Artistic Side of Gulangyu Island

Go beyond the standard tourist route on Gulangyu Island. Explore quiet lanes, historic villas, garden views, piano culture, and viewpoints with fewer tourists — a more elegant and relaxed way to feel the island’s character.

A Relaxed Coastal & Cultural Journey Through Xiamen and Tulou

Experience the best of Xiamen and Fujian Tulou in a more balanced and immersive way — from the peaceful charm of Gulangyu Island and historic South Putuo Temple to the hidden rural beauty of Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster and authentic Hakka villages.

Your 3-Day Xiamen & Tulou Relaxation Journey

This 3 day Xiamen and Tulou relaxation tour is designed for travelers who want to explore Xiamen, Gulangyu Island, and Fujian Tulou at their own pace. The route combines city charm, island scenery, local cuisine, and authentic Hakka culture without rushing.

Day 1 – Xiamen Arrival – Free Time in Xiamen City

Arrive in Xiamen city. Your driver will meet you at the airport or train station for a smooth train station transfer or hotel transfer.

After check-in, enjoy free time to explore Xiamen. You may walk along Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, enjoy local food, or relax near Huandao Road in Siming District.

After breakfast, start your Fujian Tulou tour from Xiamen to Nanjing County by private car. The drive from Xiamen to Nanjing usually takes about 2.5–3 hours.

Visit the famous Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, one of the best tulou clusters in Fujian Province. From a bird’s eye view, you can see the classic layout of round and square earthen buildings surrounded by lush mountains.

Then continue to Hekong Tulou or Taxia Village, a peaceful hidden gem with fewer tourists. Walk inside a real earthen building, learn about Hakka culture, see Hakka earthen strongholds, and experience the local Hakka people’s traditional lifestyle.

Return to Xiamen in the afternoon or evening.

Visit South Putuo Temple, also known as Nanputuo Temple, one of Xiamen’s top attractions. Then enjoy a relaxed visit to the popular Gulangyu Island, known for old villas, Shuzhuang Garden, the Piano Museum, sea views, and beautiful organ music.

Go beyond the recurrent route most tourists take, with time for photos, quiet lanes, and a few hidden viewpoints. If time allows, learn about the artistic temperament of the island and stories connected with Chiang Kai-shek.

After the departure visit, transfer to the airport or train station for your next destination.
